Other Details to Note

-Absolutely no weddings/elopements with more than 6 guests present on the property at any given time. -The upstairs bedroom with queen bed is an open area without a private door. -Being an off-grid type of property, we're limited to satellite wifi. It's usually fast enough for video calls and streaming but ultimately subject to signal strength and number of devices on the network. -The staircase is steep so guests with young children or limited mobility should be mindful of this when booking. -Black flies can be a problem up and down the North Shore. While we have the cabin professionally sprayed, we are in the middle of the woods so you may encounter flies, mosquitos, and other insects during your stay. -A 4-wheel-drive vehicle is required for accessing the cabin during months with potential for snow/ice (usually late November - March).

We were 2 families with young kids traveling after completing Grandma's Marathon. Tessa's home was so beautiful and peaceful, perfect for our getaway! The house was close to various local attractions that were fun to explore. The kids loved running around the large property and we enjoyed dinners out on the deck. The fire pit was convenient for roasting s'mores and creating memories. We would happily stay again! For those with kids I'll mention that there is a baby gate on the top stair but not at the bottom to prevent climbing up. There is also alot of natural light which can be hard for kids with pre sunset bedtimes and makes for early mornings.

We had a fantastic stay. Todd & Tessa were incredibly responsive and took care of every little detail to make sure we felt at home in their cabin. The property itself was beautiful, with stunning views all around. It was the perfect getaway for our family, and I would highly recommend it!

Todd & Tessa's cabin is absolutely stunning. It is such a cozy winter getaway and I can imagine its equally as impressive in the summer. They are great hosts, responsive and helpful! They are not joking around about the driveway, but they were great about communicating the need for an appropriate vehicle and winter driving skills. We had some weather heading our way during our stay and they were flexible with the checkout time so we could let the roads warm up a little before we ventured out. Overall a great experience, a clean, cozy and absolutely beautiful cabin!

this is such a beautiful cabin. situated on the top of the hill it does get tricky to get up but once up the views are amazing. large property with a lot of open space. inside the house was clean and spacious. we enjoyed the board games, firepit, and fireplace. they had s'more sticks already for use and plenty of water in the house to drink and cook. being that it's in the iron range area water does have a orange hue to it which can be frightening at first but it's all natural. wifi was fast and beds super comfy. looking forward to coming back again soon

Wonderful, cozy place with all of the necessary amenities. We loved the ability to adjust the temperature in all of the rooms. The bathroom heater was fantastic. The use of the double garage was a nicety.

We loved our stay on the North Shore! This cabin's location was perfect for the places that we wanted to visit along the north shore and we immediately felt right at home in this little cabin. The views from the cabin are wonderful and we enjoyed having coffee and meals out on decks. We especially enjoyed hiking in Tettagouche, see the Split Rock Lighthouse, hiking the Temperance River Gorge, Black Beach and Caribou Falls. We would definitely come back again!

We enjoyed our stay @wildpinescabin!! Chose the cabin based on location to north shore activities and the photos of the views from the cabin. The cabin exceeded expectations with spectacular vista views and quiet and peaceful surroundings. We had an amazing time!

We had many great moments at this beautiful cabin from playing games to cooking to enjoying the sunrise over the lake and staring up at the clear night skies. The place is exactly as advertised and was in impeccably good shape. The fact that a campfire was already set up with starter and logs and ready for a light when we arrived was a nice gesture. So many great local hikes and views nearby too.
